French presidential candidate Éric Zemmour spoke positively on Monday about cryptocurrencies.
Éric Zemmour is a controversial French politician who is one of the candidates in the presidential election that will take place in the country in April.
He has above all made himself known as the far right’s candidate in the election – but now it seems that he is also trying to attract the country’s crypto enthusiasts.
This is what the proposals are about
On Monday, Zemmour visited the crypto company Ledger. After this visit, he published four crypto-related proposals on his Twitter.
The first proposal is to reduce the tax for crypto holders by giving them a deduction for reinvesting their profits in the real economy. The second proposal is about reducing the bureaucratic hassle for those working in the crypto sector. Proposal three is to create a new tax system for NFTs, and proposal four is about encouraging private companies to create stablecoin versions of the euro, Éric Zemmour writes on his Twitter.
